My test is to begin to introduce new work to the world, first through friends, whom I know love me and will be kind (not lie, but let me know their feelings while trying to protect mine). The next step is more the acquittance that will be polite, and then the world.
Well so far my Paverpol work has passed on all levels! People are in awe of the creations that I have shared to date.
In fact I find that most people keep coming back to these pieces and commenting on details, picking them up, turning them around, asking question after question.
Wait! I tell them, give me a few more weeks to play and then I'll show you how it's done.
The usual conversations begins with "Oh, I'm not creative like you, I couldn't do that."
My response "Of course you can, I can teach you how to work with this product and can (almost) guarantee that you will be thrilled with your first attempt. The sceptical looks tell me that many are not yet convinced.
Yes a new challenge - clean up the studio - get rid of that cumbersome table saw so that there is space for a table and then convince them to try.
Now to serious business - have a friend coming over tomorrow and for a tiny discount on her first class she will help me begin the studio re-reorganisation for ready access to my new Paverpol products.
Wish me luck!
