Dream Space

I have long told people that my creative process included sending ideas to my "Dream Space" at night and see what develops.  Most giggle and nod.  I've never asked what that response means - mostly because what I tell them is the truth and I don't know how to explain it any better than that!

When creating my Paverpol figures, while building the wire skeleton, I am usually looking around my studio to decide if it will be standing, sitting, hanging or....

Even when I come to the studio with a plan in mind, I am always open to my work "talking to me" and leading me in a particular direction.

I love sitting with another artist or a group and noticing the moment when people start to talk to their work - Success!  I believe once your work reaches the point when it take on a personality of it's own, your creative vision will come to fruition.

Don't you love the excitement in your student when you see they have begun to realize that their work is going to turn out and better, be something they are proud to take away and show their family and friends.

Then I put that energy into my Dream Space and creativity grows exponentially.

I love it.
